Digital Warehouse USA Expands its Network Technology Asset Recovery Services

Oklahoma City, OK (PRWEB) May 1, 2007 -- Digital Warehouse USA, Inc. (http://www.digitalwarehouse.com) today announced it has purchased a 45,000 Sq ft building in Oklahoma City which will be its US Asset Recovery Services Center providing US businesses with a fast, cost-effective and environmentally responsible way to dispose network equipment they no longer need.

The company also appointed Scott Miller as Director of Asset Recovery & Wholesale and Geoffrey Bice as Director of US Operations. Scott is an industry veteran with previous purchasing management responsibilities at Somera Communications and Geoffrey held various operations and project management positions at Hertz Information Technology for the past 10 years.

Digital Warehouse Asset Recovery Services is designed to give more options to a wide set of customers with surplus Cisco and non-Cisco network equipment assets, while also helping them comply with new electronic waste and information privacy laws.

"With the expansion of Digital Warehouse Asset Recovery Services, businesses of any size can benefit from Digital Warehouse's innovative remarketing services and maximize the value of their unwanted network hardware assets," says Joe Asady, Founder & CEO. "If the equipment is not remarketable, we will work with the customer to identify a disposal option that makes sense. More than 11 years of experience worldwide in the asset recovery business has given Digital Warehouse great insight and understanding of the used network hardware marketplace as well as the infrastructure to help customers maximize the value of their networking assets."

The offerings for businesses through Digital Warehouse Asset Recovery Services include: • Cash for Equipment - Digital Warehouse will purchase surplus or obsolete networking equipment based on its fair market value and absorb any inventory risk during the resale; • Recycling -- For a small fee, items without recoverable value will be disposed of in accordance with EPA guidelines and meet all federal, state and local laws; • Donation - Digital Warehouse works with a large number of non-profit educational institutions which accept donation of surplus networking hardware and provide a tax rebate for the donated equipment • Data Overwrite -- Customers are responsible for removing all company data from systems before sending any assets to Digital Warehouse. However, customers can take advantage of an optional hardware sanitization and cleansing service to ensure proper overwrite of data. Hard file data is cleansed with a three-times overwrite process so that data is virtually impossible to recover. The option meets U.S. Department of Defense 5220-22-m 3-pass standards; • Digital Warehouse also offers pickup and shipping services for a fee.

Obsolete IT is a growing problem in the United States and around the world. IT industry analyst firm IDC estimates that most corporations store older computer equipment for up to three years at a cost of about $360 per machine. And then they may pay an additional $218 for its eventual disposal. In 2002, the number of obsolete PCs outnumbered the number of new PCs entering the market by about 3.4 million. According to the National Safety Council, more than 315 million pieces of IT equipment will have to be recycled or disposed of by next year.

Built on a foundation of more than 11 years experience in network technology asset recovery, Digital Warehouse Asset Recovery Services provides a quick, cost-effective solution for all businesses - small, medium and large -- with surplus network equipment.

Customers make one phone call to receive a quote from Digital Warehouse. If the assets are remarketable, Digital Warehouse pays for the networking equipment. But if the assets have no remarketing value, customers may pay as little as $25 per item.
